GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

APRIL 23rd, 2008

The April meeting was called to order by President Anderson. 

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 

Moment of silence for deceased members including Jeff Kater of Facilities. 

Roll call of Officers took place.  All present. 

Treasurer’s report was read by Shirley Cockrell.  Motion to accept by Steve
Kowolonek.  A second by Lori Stamper.  Motion passed. 

Motion to dispense reading of the minutes by Steve Kowolonek.   A second by
Phil Malone.  Motion passed. 

COMMUNICATIONS 

The National is wanting to collect all of the UWUA member’s home email address so they can receive information from The National.  Steve Kowolonek volunteered to collect everyone’s email that came to Hartwell that night for the membership meeting. 

OFFICERS REPORT 

Steve Kowolonek – complimented the conference in Pittsburgh.  Very informative. 

Pat – commented that the AMI project is not doing well in KY.  President Anderson asked Pat to
 call Suzanne Kessling a call and see where the project stands. 

OLD BUSINESS 

Jim Deering will be mailing the ballots out for the new contract on May 8^th.  The ballots will be
counted on May 29th. 

Discussion took place concerning the GDA1 arbitration. 

NEW BUSINESS 

President Anderson would like to schedule a meeting with each board member to discuss certain responsibilities they have during their term.  He also asked each delegate to contact their reps
and make sure each rep has a UWUA bulletin board to post UWUA information on.  If they do not have a board, President Anderson will get one for them. 

Motion to adjourn by Randy Darby.  A second by Pat Roderick.  Motion passed.
