GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

 

AUGUST 23RD, 2007

 

 

EXECUTIVE BOARD                                              Jim Anderson – President

The August meeting was called to order by President Anderson. 

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 

Roll call of Officers took place.  All present. 

Minutes for July were read by Kristy Knobloch.  Motion to accept the minutes as read by Walt Dobbins.  Second by Dave Schuck.  Motion passed. 

Financial report was read by Mike Hiltenbeitel.  Motion to accept by Steve Kowolonek.  A second by Dave Schuck.  Motion passed. 

COMMUNICATIONS 

President Anderson endorsed the Universal Wage Letter from Austin, TX and sent onto The National to be endorsed as well. 

REPORT OF OFFICERS 

Randy Darby reminded everyone to not be campaigning for the election on company time, email or company property. 

Dave Schuck – inquired about key room clerk at Queensgate.  Bid is supposed to be put up soon per Jim Mehring.   

Steve Kowolonek – safety goal is 4.72.  We are at 4.47.

Also, meter readers are supposed to be getting a translation card in English and Spanish both in order to communicate better with the Spanish. 

OLD BUSINESS 

Discussion took place on upcoming union picnic.  A motion was made by Lori Stamper to spend another 70.00 on kids gifts.  A second by Kristy Knobloch.  Motion passed. 

A motion was made by Lori Stamper to give retirees raffle tickets for prizes at the picnic.  A second by Steve Kowolonek.  Motion did not pass. 

NEW BUSINESS 

Discussion took place concerning employees in the pool and the jobs that are available at this time. 

A meeting has been set with Jim Turner and the IBEW concerning some payroll deduction changes in 2008. 

Motion to adjourn by Randy Darby.  A second by Kristy Knobloch.  Motion passed.
