GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

DECEMBER 16, 2009

The December meeting was called to order by President Anderson. 

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 

Moment of silence for deceased members. 

Roll call of Officers took place. All present.  

Financial report was read by Shirley Cockrell.  Motion to accept by Randy Darby.  A second by Lori Warren.  Motion passed. 

Motion made by Steve Kowolonek to dispense the reading of the minutes.  A second by Lori Warren.  Motion passed. 

COMMUNICATIONS 

Every member should have received a 2010 Dependant Eligibility Audit Q&A in the mail. 

Kristy – discussed the family that UWUA adopted for Christmas from Southern Pendleton County. 

Shirley – met with Rutler & Associates to begin the audit today. 

Lori W. – meeting with Karen Feld on Jan 13th for Smartgrid/Labor Strategy. 

Randy – discussed family from Aurora that was also adopted from the UWUA.  Also suggested getting a team together to discuss storm duty issues. 

Walt – will be filing a grievance with Steve Adams for sending work to India.  

Lori T. – wants STD looked into. 

OLD BUSINESS 

Michael Paolucci will be handling Steve Fisher’s arbitration – contractors doing feeder work. 

NEW BUSINESS 

Per Capita increase was discussed.  The National is increasing the dues $2.08 per month.  A motion was made by Steve Kowolonek to increase the dues 1.04 per month and the union pay the other 1.04.  A second by Lori Warren.  Motion passed.  Current dues are 32.88 per month and will increase to 33.92 per month as of Jan 15th, 2010. 

Meter arbitration was dropped after a vote was taken by the board, due to new information being presented. 

A motion by Randy Darby to adjourn.  A second by Kristy Knobloch.  Motion passed.
