GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES 

JANUARY 24, 2008

The January meeting was called to order by President Anderson. 

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 

Moment of silence for deceased members. 

Roll call of Officers took place.  All present. 

Treasurer’s report was read by Shirley Cockrell.  Motion to accept by KristyKnobloch.  A second by Walt Dobbins.  Motion passed. 

Motion to dispense reading of the minutes by Walt Dobbins.   A second by Randy Darby.  Motion passed. 

COMMUNICATIONS 

None to report. 

REPORT OF OFFICERS 

Randy - Reminder that our current contract is in effect until April 1, 2008. 

Kristy - Passed around a thank you note from the family that was adopted by the Local 600 at Christmas. 

Phil - Power Delivery will now be handling calls during storms in the command center. 

Steve - Discussed issues in meter reading group and how the overtime is being distributed. 

Walt - Discussed preparations for the GDA1 arbitration. 

OLD BUSINESS 

Discussion took place again on getting rep positions filled. 

NEW BUSINESS 

President Anderson discussed negotiations.  So far, there has only been 2 meetings with the company. 

A committee has been formed to review the side bar letters.  Committee members are Phil Malone, Walt Dobbins and Randy Darby. 

The hotline for union negotiations is 859-392-0203. 

Much discussion took place concerning the CPC contractors in Distribution Design.  These contractors will be starting on February 4^th.  A grievance has been filed by Randy Darby. 

President Anderson and Vice President Stamper will be attending a Legislative Conference in Washington January 27 - 30. 

Region II and III will be holding an Educational Conference on April 9, 10 and 11 in Pittsburgh, PA. 

A motion was made by Randy Darby to adjourn.  A second by Steve Kowolonek.  Motion passed.
