GENERAL BOARD MEETING
January 28, 2016
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of silence was observed.
Roll Call was taken by Treasurer Cockrell. Delegate Webster not present.
The previous monthís minutes were presented by Secretary Kowolonek. Lori Turner made a motion to accept the previous monthís minutes. Second by Camille Waller. Motion passed.
The Financial Report was given by Treasurer Cockrell. Discussion occurred about the audit performed by Don Stewart. Discussion also centered on the way that Local 600 handles itís investments and assets. A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Steve Kowolonek. Second by Mike Hoffman. Motion passed.
Thank you card-President Anderson read a thank you card from Bethany House Services for Local 600ís helping out a family during Christmas.
Gas Arbitration- President Anderson presented the decision of the Arbitrator concerning the Gas Arbitration.
Upcoming Arbitrations- President Anderson presented the Board with a list of upcoming Arbitrations.
Control Tech Classifications- President Anderson discussed the Control Tech Job Classifications and the results of these classifications going through the BOGAR job evaluation. Discussion occurred about this outcome.
Electric Operations Clerk- President Anderson and Vice President Warren discussed the Electric Operations Clerk.
Control Systems Tech- President Anderson discussed this position going through the BOGAR job evaluation.
Dynegy- President Anderson is trying to have meetings with the management of Dynegy to discuss the use of contractors.
Vice President Warren- she discussed and issue with the OC hand raising. She also discussed that any new member hired on/or after January 1, 2016 will not participate in the pension program. These members will have 4% of their salary placed into their 401k. This 4% is not part of the 6% match. The company will continue to match up to 6% of contributions that these members contribute to their 401k.
Secretary Kowolonek- he discussed that the A-Kid Again event has a date change. The new date will be Feburary 17.
Treasurer Cockrell- she discussed the use and giving of gift cards.
Delegate Memering- she discussed the annual Local 600 picnic and different venues to look at. She also informed the Board that the company has hired a new contractor group.
Steve Kowolonek made a motion to adjourn. Second by Camille Waller. Motion passed.
