The July meeting was called to order by President Anderson.

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Moment of silence for deceased members.

Roll call of Officers took place. Lori Turner and Steve Kowolonek absent.

Motion to dispense reading of the minutes by Randy Darby. A second by Phil Malone. Motion passed.

Financial report was read by Shirley Cockrell. Motion to accept by Lori Stamper. A second by Pat Roderick. Motion passed.

COMMUNICATIONS

A new substance abuse policy will be coming out soon to all employees.

AFL-CIO will be having a conference at Cleveland Convention Center September 9^th – 11^th for the presidential race.

REPORT OF OFFICERS

None to report.

OLD BUSINESS

Discussion took place on the Mary Harthun arbitration case. The decision was made to move forward with arbitration.

The union picnic will take place on September 19^th at Frederick’s Landing. Fliers with all the details will be posted on all union boards.

NEW BUSINESS

Discussion took place on an old Hiltenbeital/Planck arbitration. Arbitrator has decided on case, however will not give answer until he is paid.

Walt Dobbins will serve on the United Way Team representing the UWUA.

Motion was made by Randy Darby to adjourn. A second by Shirley Cockrell. Motion passed.
