GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES MARCH 25TH, 2010

The March meeting was called to order by Lori Warren. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Moment of silence for deceased members. Roll call of Officers took place. Pat Roderick and Jim Anderson absent.
Financial report
was read by Shirley Cockrell. Motion to accept by
Kristy Knobloch. A motion by Steve Kowolonek to dispense the reading of the minutes. A second by Lori Warren. Motion passed. COMMUNICATIONS No communications. REPORT OF OFFICERS Shirley – discussed the new hires and how we are not getting our dues in a timely manner from Hewitt. Was given some suggestions and will be discussed further at next meeting. Kristy – discussed OC situation with the backlog of work. Phil – management of the Call Center met with the union to discuss the low productivity in the Call Center. Walt – talked about the Gas Layout Tech job and that there is 3 people qualified for job but don’t have experience. Management wants to give to a contractor. Steve – will be attending safety conference next week in Columbus. Lori T. – discussed the insurance audit. Some are being told that they are covered and then told they are not. Also said that there was some theft issues at 460A. Security is involved. OLD BUSINESS Repairs were made at the hall. New roof, new soffit, gutters and downspouts and window barriers were all replaced. Insurance paid $5,268.00 for the roof due to wind damage and the remainder of repairs cost the union $6,610.94. Jim got a couple of bids for the grass cutting. A motion by Randy to accept the 35.00 per cut bid. A second by Phil. Motion passed. Education Conference in Pittsburgh May 12th – 14th. NEW BUSINESS UEIP Bonus – Jim and Lori met with the company concerning the the way that the calculations were figured for the UEIP bonus. The company will look into it and get back to us. Meter Reading grievance concerning unfair work assignment will be presented to the board in April to decide if it should go to arbitration. Shirley made a motion to adjourn. A second by Lori Turner. Motion passed.
