GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The May meeting was called to order by President Anderson. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Moment of silence for deceased members. Roll call of Officers took place. Randy Darby, Walt Dobbins and Kristy Knobloch were absent. Treasurer’s report was read by Shirley Cockrell. Motion to accept by Steve Kowolonek. A second by Pat Roderick. Motion passed. COMMUNICATIONS AFL-CIO – dinner invitation from religious organization. Walt Dobbins usually attends this dinner. DELEGATE REPORTS None to report. OLD BUSINESS Each delegate reported who they represented, union board locations and their contacts that post the information on the boards. President Anderson put together a listing for member’s email addresses for National communications. Send any updated info to Steve Kowolonek. GDA1 arbitration on 5/22/08. Expect an answer from arbitrator in approximately 3 months. Dates were set for President Anderson to meet with the board members and discuss his expectations throughout the rest of their term. The picnic was discussed but Shirley asked to table the discussion until the rest of the board is present. In the meantime, Lori Stamper will call Hartwell and see what dates are available. NEW BUSINESS National Safety Meeting will be in Anaheim, CA. Van Bryan will be attending. Internal audit on June 12th and 13th by trustees – Jenny Shafer, Dan Geers and Perry Hill. Motion to adjourn by Lori Stamper. 2nd by Shirley Cockrell. Motion passed.
