May 29, 2002 Ms. Mary Harthun Re: Notice of organization and working condition changes Dear Ms. Harthun: During the 2002 - 2005 negotiations, the parties discussed the interpretation of Article IV, Section 3 of the Agreement and the Company’s obligation to notify the Union of significant changes affecting personnel in one or more departments.As discussed when major organizational changes that affect personnel in various departments occur, the Company will give 14 days’ notice to the Union. When a significant change or condition affecting the department or work group within a department, the department supervisor will notify the departmental union delegate. In order to address the Union’s concerns, the Company agreed to give supervisors and managers a written reminder of the Company’s obligations under Article IV, Section 3 of the Agreement. This will ensure proper notification when the Company changes working conditions or departmental structures.
