LOCAL 600 Representative Nominations
Local 600 will be conducting nominations for area representatives via e-mail. Each of the three areas is allotted equal representation. Area “A” will be allotted 9 area reps. Area “B” will be allotted 6 area reps. Area “C” will be allotted 3 area reps. If you are interested or know someone else who is, please nominate them by accessing the union e-mail address at “ UWUA_local600@insightbb.com “. Nominations must be received by November 9th, 2007. In the event we have more reps than allotted for each area nominated, we will conduct an election for the specific area. Area Representatives shall be elected to a three-year term.
The primary duties of a Representative include assisting the elected Delegate’s in their Major Area in the administration of the contract, handle member grievances, harassment, disputes, and other matter which may arise between the company and the members, etc. They may perform other duties as assigned by the President, Delegate and/or General Board.
