The November Board Meeting was called to order, by President Anderson. The Reps and Delegates dinner was held at Whiskey’s in Lawrenceburg. President Anderson thanked the reps and delegates and executive officers for their support in the past year.
President Anderson gave special acknowledgement to Treasurer Hiltenbeitel for doing a great job on the record keeping of the Unions accounts. He also gave a special thank you to Vice President Stamper for her support and continued assistance as vice president.
Secretary Grimes is in the process of reorganizing the files at the union hall, thanks were given for her efforts.
President Anderson discussed the National’s per diem increase for 2006 and for lack of a quorum, tabled the issued for an increase in dues until the next board meeting. This local did not increase dues in 2005 for the national or for the AFL-CIO local or state.
President Anderson announced a plan for 2006, in which he will be assigning each delegate a task of learning a specific area of expertise in the areas of FMLA, STD, Drug Policy, etc. He wants the delegate to learn everything they can in their area; they will be the person to go to for concerns and answers.
