GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES 

SEPTEMBER 27, 2007 

 

 

EXECUTIVE BOARD                                              Jim Anderson – President

The August meeting was called to order by President Anderson. 

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 

Moment of silence for deceased members. 

Roll call of Officers took place.  Kristy Knobloch absent. 

A motion was made by Walt Dobbins to dispense the reading of the minutes.  A second by Dave Schuck.  Motion passed. 

Treasurer’s report was read by Steve Kowolonek.  A motion to accept the report by Lori Stamper.  A second by Shirley Cockrell.  Motion passed. 

COMMUNICATIONS 

Phil Malone – discussed a new procedure for reps in the Call Center for when they have to call in for a day off. 

Steve Kowolonek – behavioral safety class is mandatory for all employees. 

OLD BUSINESS 

The presidents of  UWUA, USWA and IBEW met with Jim Turner to discuss some changes that are taking place concerning benefits, payroll deductions, etc.  Waiting for an answer back from Jim Turner. 

NEW BUSINESS 

Mike Hiltenbeital resigned from the Treasurer’s position.  Steve Kowolonek will fill in until the new term begins. 

Rep/Delegate dinner will be on Thursday Nov 15. 

Dues check from the company will be received once a month instead of twice a month. 

Reregulation meeting in Columbus.  All Locals will be involved.  The Governor wants to reregulate Ohio. 

The company is looking at re-evaluating work practices in the mail room and is not planning to outsource at this time. 

Randy Darby made a motion to adjourn.  A second by Lori Stamper.  Motion passed.
